Saving Lives
with Every Flight
Originally called Angel Plane, we were founded in 1985 on the belief that every child has the birthright to a healthy life, regardless of income, illness, or distance from medical care. We started flying regionally on private charters, staging a series of popular air shows to raise funds as we grew our network of pilots.

Forty Years of Hope and Miracles
Angel Plane is founded and coordinates its first private plane flight, which delivers life-saving blood to Tonopah, Nevada, after a traffic accident. A year later, the first patient flight lifts off with a 10-year-old seeking cancer treatment.

The Angel Planes holds its largest fundraiser to date called “Wings of Victory” at McCarran Air Field, with special guest Chuck Yeager.

The organization holds Wayne Newton’s Race for the Angels fundraiser. Two years before that The Angel Planes first air show festival is held in 1987.

After a decade, the organization holds a network of 200 private pilots and has coordinated more than 2,000 flights, coast to coast.
Organization changes its name to Miracle Flights For Kids. This will later change to simply Miracle Flights in 2014.

Miracle Flights becomes a National Point of Light Award recipient. Established by President George H.W. Bush, this honor celebrates the nation's leading charities.

The organization shifts from private to commercial flights to save money and improve availability.

Southwest Airlines donates flights to help hundreds of families every year. Their generous grant continues to this day.

Organization receives over $40 million from a class action lawsuit unrelated to its operation. The judge ordered all unclaimed money in the settlement to go to Miracle Flights.

Miracle Flights For Kids updates its branding.

Miracle Flights updates logo and name. One of only six people in the U.S. with his form of dwarfism, Miracle Flights recipient Levi becomes the 100,000th flyer.

A multi-year partnership with UFC begins. Swings for Wings, a new fundraiser at Topgolf Las Vegas takes place.

More than 5,000 attend Carnival in the Clouds drone festival. Organization welcomes national partnerships with Blacklane and The Parking Spot.

Amid a global pandemic, content series, Smiles with Miles, is launched.

WHSmith and Miracle Flights partnership allows customers to purchase their own Miles the Bear. Downtown Summerlin in Las Vegas is illuminated for the first time with Lights for Flights.

150,000th flight was reached with three-year-old Watson and his family from Las Vegas to the Paley Orthopedic and Spine Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida, for clubfoot treatment.

Blacklane CEO marks 1,500th ride with Miracle Flights by surprising a family with a trip to Disneyland.

One hundred million miles reached with a celebration held at Harry Reid International Airport.

Miracle Flights and WHSmith launch Hope, the bear. City of Las Vegas declares February 11th as Hope Day.
