Sutton took his first Miracle Flight in July 2019 to see the top airway team in the world at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Sutton, was born prematurely with a rare genetic disease called a type 1 Laryngeal Cleft (LC1), which occurs in just 1 in 10,000 births and results in constant respiratory sickness and pneumonia.

According to Sutton’s dad,

Miracle Flights was a life saver for our family in 2019. We were hit with unplanned medical travel from Texas to Boston in both July and August to seek 2nd opinions which led to life changing surgery for our child who can only eat 1 food at the age of 3 years old. Since returning home from treatment we have made huge strides in his diet, Miracle Flights was instrumental in scheduling, changing dates, bumping up flights, and stayed in constant communication with us as needed throughout the process, front to back. Their team is friendly, compassionate, and really helped relieve the financial burden and stress that comes with medical travel. So thankful to have Miracle Flights on Team Sutton!
