Reporting to the Chief of Philanthropy, the Director of Philanthropy leads frontline fundraising efforts and manages high-value donor and partner relationships. This role helps drive revenue growth while supporting the systems and strategies that enable Miracle Flights to serve more families.

Location: Based at our Las Vegas headquarters, with flexibility for a hybrid or remote work model.
Purpose of the Position
The Director of Philanthropy is responsible for growing major gifts, corporate and strategic partnerships, event sponsorships, and event-related revenue for Miracle Flights.
This leader will:
- Own and grow a portfolio of major gift donors, corporate partners, sponsors, foundations, and strategic philanthropic partners.
- Lead the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors capable of five- and six-figure gifts.
- Build revenue-generating partnerships with corporations, airlines, healthcare partners, treatment centers, brands, and community leaders.
- Make direct fundraising asks and support the Chief of Philanthropy and CEO in closing transformational gifts.
- Maintain clear revenue goals, pipeline activity, and fundraising performance metrics.
The ideal candidate is highly relational, externally focused, and results-oriented.
Key Responsibilities
Major Gifts, Corporate & Strategic Partnership Revenue
- Own and grow a portfolio of major gift donors, corporate partners, sponsors, foundations, and strategic philanthropic partners.
- Lead the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors capable of five- and six-figure gifts.
- Build revenue-generating partnerships with corporations, airlines, healthcare partners, treatment centers, brands, and community leaders.
- Make direct fundraising asks and support the Chief of Philanthropy and CEO in closing transformational gifts.
- Accountable for achieving annual revenue goals across major gifts, corporate partnerships, strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and event-related revenue.
- Maintain clear revenue goals, pipeline activity, and fundraising performance metrics.
Donor Engagement & Stewardship
- Build meaningful long-term relationships with donors, partners, foundations, and supporters.
- Ensure timely follow-up, donor acknowledgment, stewardship, and reporting.
- Help connect donors directly to Miracle Flights’ mission impact through storytelling, experiences, and outcomes.
- Support donor communications, campaign outreach, and engagement strategies.
Event Revenue, Committees & Volunteer Engagement
- Drive event revenue through sponsorships, donor engagement, and event-night activation.
- Partner with the Director of Events to maximize event revenue opportunities.
- Attend and assist with Miracle Flights events, donor experiences, campaigns, and community activations.
- Maximize donor conversion, sponsorship opportunities, volunteer engagement, and post-event stewardship efforts.
Team Leadership & Management
- Directly supervise, coach, and support the Philanthropy Manager.
- Ensure alignment of annual giving, monthly giving, grants, stewardship, and fundraising campaigns with revenue goals.
- In partnership with the Chief of Philanthropy, set clear goals, priorities, and accountability measures.
- Help build a high-performing philanthropy culture rooted in revenue growth, accountability, donor care, and mission impact.
Pipeline Management & Operations
- Maintain accurate donor records, activity tracking, and pipeline management within CRM systems.
- Track donor movement, proposals, pledges, grants, sponsorships, and stewardship actions to ensure accountability and follow-through.
- Work collaboratively across departments to support fundraising campaigns, strategic initiatives, and organizational priorities.
- Assist with reporting, forecasting, and revenue tracking.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of philanthropy experience; transferable experience may be considered.
- Proven success securing major gifts, sponsorships, foundation support, or revenue-generating partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to confidently make asks and close gifts.
- Experience managing donor portfolios and fundraising pipelines.
- Strong CRM and donor database experience preferred.
- Experience managing staff preferred.

Salary: Compensation starting at $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of Miracle Flights’ total compensation package for employees.
