Since infancy, Kynslee has bravely battled complex gastrointestinal (GI) complications that continue to affect her daily life. For children like Kynslee, GI disorders can present as far more than a temporary discomfort. They are chronic, often debilitating conditions that require highly specialized care.
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, pediatric gastrointestinal disorders may involve motility issues, structural abnormalities, or chronic inflammation. These conditions can cause persistent abdominal pain, feeding difficulties, poor nutrient absorption, and impaired growth and development. Early diagnosis and access to expert treatment are essential to improving a child’s long-term health and quality of life.
For Kynslee, expert care lies more than 600 miles from her home in Missouri, at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, one of the nation's top pediatric institutions for treating GI and motility disorders.
Thanks to the compassion and generosity of Miracle Flights supporters, Kynslee has already completed three critical medical trips to Cincinnati, with flight assistance totaling more than $5,500.
Her mother recently shared a heartfelt update: “She struggles daily, but has such a positive attitude and just keeps being her sassy little self.”
True to form, Kynslee lit up this Fourth of July in red, white, and plenty of bling, celebrating with her family in true sparkle and spirit.
“She absolutely loves flying,” her mom added. “She always brings the bear Miracle Flights gave her. On our last trip, they even let her sit in the cockpit and pretend to be the pilot. Once again, we cannot thank you all enough for making it possible to get her the care she needs.”
At Miracle Flights, we are honored to be part of Kynslee’s journey, a journey defined by courage, resilience, and the radiant joy she brings wherever she goes.
With every mile flown, Kynslee reminds us that hope is more than an idea. It is something real, something shared, and something that lifts us all higher together.
