Miracle Story
Meet 7-year-old Aleister, a brave and kind-hearted boy from Lincoln, California, who is on a mission for food freedom. Living with severe food allergies, Aleister travels to Long Beach, California, for specialized treatment at the Food Allergy Institute. His family learned about Miracle Flights through another family who also travels to the same treatment center, and since then, they’ve been a part of the Miracle Flights family. Aleister has a warm and friendly personality that shines through despite the challenges he faces daily. He loves talking to people and making new friends, reflecting his positive outlook on life. Before receiving care at the Food Allergy Institute, Aleister faced numerous challenges due to his severe asthma and multiple food allergies. These challenges affected his life in many ways, including a limited diet, food anxiety, fear of allergic reactions, severe asthma attacks, frequent illnesses, limited physical abilities, dependence on medications and frequent hospitalizations. Without specialized care, Aleister’s hospitalizations were frequent and took a toll on his physical and emotional well-being. These stays disrupted his daily routine, school, and social life, making his struggles even harder.
His family is deeply grateful for the support they’ve received through Miracle Flights. Aleister’s mother shared, “Miracle Flights has been a lifeline for us, allowing us to access the care Aleister needs at the Food Allergy Institute. Without Miracle Flights, continuing this critical treatment would not be possible. The financial burden of frequent travel, combined with medical expenses and daily necessities, makes it nearly impossible for families like ours to access care far from home.”
She added, “Thanks to the generosity of donors, Miracle Flights removes the barrier of travel costs. Their help allows us to attend essential appointments without worrying about the flight expenses, giving Aleister a chance to move toward a life with fewer limitations. For children like Aleister, access to the right specialists can be life-changing, but it’s often out of reach due to financial constraints. Miracle Flights fills that gap with kindness and compassion. We are beyond grateful to everyone involved—donors, supporters, and the Miracle Flights team. Your contributions make a difference, offering hope, easing the financial strain, and allowing children like Aleister to build brighter, healthier futures.”
Aleister is also a fan of his stuffed animal collection and created a beautiful piece of artwork to thank Miracle Flights and its generous donors. He even shared some photos from his flights, offering a glimpse into his journey and his gratitude.
So far, Aleister has received five Miracle Flights and will need more as he continues his journey to food freedom. Miracle Flights isn’t just a one-time service—we are here to support Aleister every step of the way, on each and every flight.
