Carrie Roper

Carrie is an Emmy Award-winning video production professional with over 15 years of experience with a diverse portfolio spanning daytime television, reality TV, news, and branded content. Carrie’s resume includes working with top industry brands like Disney, Paramount, Amazon, Netflix, Warner Brothers, and MTV to name a few. In addition to her creative expertise, Carrie played a pivotal role in launching and anchoring the first digital newscast for the Las Vegas Review-Journal. She currently serves as the Executive Producer for Storyville RD, a full-service video production company committed to telling creative and powerful stories. Whether behind the camera or in front of it, she consistently crafts narratives that resonate with audiences and drive impact. She is honored to return as the emcee for the third year of SOARee to support its mission in Southern Nevada.

Andrew Nomura

Andrew Nomura joined the KSNV news team as a General Assignment Reporter in September 2020. Before making his way to Las Vegas, Andrew worked as a news reporter in San Diego with other stops in Jackson Mississippi, and Baton Rouge Louisiana. He is a proud graduate of Jackson State University in Jackson Mississippi where he majored in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism. A Los Angeles native, Andrew loves being on the West Coast closer to friends and family. He enjoys being out and making connections with the community that he serves. When he is not chasing a great story, he is probably on the mat training jiujitsu, judo and a variety of other martial arts. Andrew is also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated.

Private Jet Fly Away Prize Information

  • Round-trip flights aboard a private jet from Thrive Aviation in Las Vegas to Palm Springs, CA via Palm Springs International Airport.
  • Winners will depart promptly at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026, and return on Sunday, March 29, 2026.
  • Exclusive accommodations.
  • Luxury car service to and from the airports.
  • $500 Visa card per couple.
  • Prizes are subject to change.
  • Additional raffle tickets can be purchased online or at the event.
  • The winners are responsible for all charitable winnings.

Parking and Luggage Logistics

  • We offer complimentary valet and self-parking.
  • We also encourage attendees to celebrate responsibly and use ride-share when possible.
  • If you self-parked, please leave your luggage in your vehicle. If you win, you’ll be driven to your car to retrieve your belongings.
  • If you are using ride-share, please bring your luggage to the registration table, and we will hold it for you.

Private Jet Fly Away Prize Logistics

  • Winners and their guests must be present and ready to depart. No substitution dates are allowed.
  • The prize has no cash value and cannot be sold.
  • If a winner cannot leave that night, they will need to either give the prize back for us to raffle it away again, or they can gift it freely to someone else to go in their place.
  • The prize is a two-day, two-night trip. A carry-on or weekend suitcase under 50 pounds is recommended. Please consider the seasonal weather in Palm Springs.

Official Rules & Drawing Procedures

RAFFLE CONDUCTED PURSUANT TO A NEVADA CHARITABLE RAFFLE PERMIT

The raffle will be held on March 27, 2026, at Thrive Aviation Private Hangar (183 E Reno Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119).

1. Sponsoring Organization

The SOARée Raffle Drawings are conducted by Miracle Flights in connection with the SOARée fundraising event. All proceeds support Miracle Flights’ mission of providing free commercial air travel for children in need of life-changing medical care.

By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Miracle Flights, which shall be binding and final as to all matters related to each raffle. The Official Rules should be read before ticket purchase.

Miracle Flights is a non-profit charitable organization and will operate the raffle.

2. Eligibility

  • Participants (and their guests, as applicable) must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid government-issued photo ID at the time of the drawing.
  • Participants must be registered attendees of SOARée 2026.

Ineligible Participants

Miracle Flights employees, Miracle Flights Board Members, event volunteers working in an official capacity, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in or win the raffle.

Immediate Family Definition

Immediate family includes spouse, domestic partner, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, grandchild, in-laws (including mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law), and any person residing in the same household as a Miracle Flights employee or board member.

Miracle Flights reserves the right to verify eligibility before awarding any prize.

3. How to Receive Raffle Entries

Each registered SOARée attendee will receive one (1) complimentary raffle ticket upon check-in.

At check-in, attendees may choose to place their ticket into one of two raffle drums:

  • Fly Away Raffle Drum
  • Staycation Raffle Drum

Additional raffle entries may be obtained through:

a. Purchase

  • Additional raffle tickets may be purchased at the event for $100 per ticket.
  • There is no limit to the number of tickets an individual may purchase unless otherwise stated.
  • Ticket sales will close at approximately 8:15 p.m. on the night of the event.
  • Tickets may not be purchased by anyone who is not located in the State of Nevada at the time of purchase.
  • All sales are final and no refunds will be made under any circumstances. No discounts will be given.

b. Sponsorship Entitlements

  • Certain sponsorship levels include additional raffle tickets as outlined in the official sponsorship package.
  • Sponsorship-issued tickets must be assigned to named attendees prior to the drawing.

All raffle tickets will be physical paper tickets placed into the designated raffle drum selected by the participant.

4. Fly Away Raffle Prize (Palm Springs Private Jet Experience)

Prize Description

Three (3) raffle winners will be selected from the Fly Away Raffle Drum.

Each winning entry represents one couple (two seats) on a private jet departing the evening of SOARée 2026 for Palm Springs, California.

Prize package includes:

  • Same-night private jet transportation coordinated by Miracle Flights and its licensed aviation partners
  • Car service transportation from the arrival airport to the designated hotel
  • Hotel accommodations as arranged by Miracle Flights
  • One (1) $500 gift card provided to each winning couple

All travel details and logistics will be determined by Miracle Flights and its partners.

Important Conditions

  • Prize is non-transferable and has no cash value.
  • No cash alternative or substitution will be provided.
  • Gift card terms are subject to the issuing provider.
  • Travel arrangements are subject to aircraft availability, weather, and operational considerations.
  • Miracle Flights is not responsible for any costs associated with the winners’ vehicles left at the event venue or the airport or for return transportation from the arrival airport to the winners’ homes after the conclusion of the trip.

5. Staycation Raffle Prize (Las Vegas Experience)

Prize Description

One (1) raffle winner will be selected from the Staycation Raffle Drum.

The staycation prize consists of a Las Vegas vacation package or gift certificate to be used at a later date within the calendar year, subject to partner terms and availability.

Important Conditions

  • The staycation experience will not take place the evening of SOARée.
  • Travel dates, reservations, and redemption are subject to the issuing partner’s terms and conditions.
  • Prize is non-transferable and has no cash value.
  • No cash alternative or substitution will be provided.

6. Drawing Time and Method

  • Staycation raffle drawing may occur during the event program at Miracle Flights’ discretion.
  • The Fly Away raffle drawing will occur at approximately 8:30 p.m.
  • Ticket sales close at approximately 8:00 p.m.
  • All paper raffle tickets will be placed into their respective raffle drums prior to the drawing.
  • Miracle Flights Board Members will select winning tickets by random manual drawings from the raffle drums, as applicable, live on stage.
  • Three (3) Fly Away winners and one (1) Staycation winner will be randomly selected.

On-Stage Verification Process

Each selected ticket will undergo a brief eligibility verification by Miracle Flights staff prior to final confirmation of the winner to ensure compliance with raffle rules and requirements.

7. Winner Requirements

  • Winners must be present at the time of the drawing to claim the prize.
  • Winners must present valid identification upon request.
  • Winners must claim their prize within two (2) minutes of announcement, or an alternate winner may be drawn at Miracle Flights’ discretion.
  • Winners must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Winners may not be Miracle Flights employees, Miracle Flights Board Members, event volunteers working in an official capacity, or any immediate family member (as defined in Section 2 above) of any of the foregoing.
  • Winners must provide their full legal name, age, and address to Miracle Flights.
  • Winners may be required to sign a release of liability and publicity agreement prior to being awarded a prize.  

8. Travel Conditions (Fly Away Prize)

  • Winners must be able to depart the evening of the event at the scheduled flight time.
  • Winners and their guest must be able to travel without medical or mobility restrictions that would prevent immediate same-night departure. Winners and guests warrant that they have no medical conditions that would prevent them from safely participating in a same-night flight.
  • If a selected winner declines, is ineligible, or cannot travel, Miracle Flights reserves the right to draw an alternate winner.
  • Travel arrangements are non-transferable and have no cash value.
  • Winners must comply with all aviation safety requirements and instructions from flight crew.
  • All flight operations are conducted by licensed aviation partners. Miracle Flights is not acting as an air carrier. Miracle Flights and its aviation partners reserve the absolute right to refuse transportation to any winner or guest who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances, or who displays behavior that may compromise the safety of the flight. If boarding is refused for safety reasons, no substitute prize or cash value will be provided.
  • Miracle Flights and aviation partners reserve the right to modify or delay travel logistics due to weather, aircraft availability, or safety considerations.
  • Prior to boarding any aircraft or receiving travel vouchers, Fly Away winners and their guests may be required to sign a Liability Release and Assumption of Risk Agreement.
  • Participants acknowledge that aviation travel involves inherent risks, including but not limited to weather delays, mechanical issues, and physical injury. By entering, participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with the prize.

9. General Conditions

  • By participating, entrants grant Miracle Flights permission to use their name, likeness, and images captured during the drawing for promotional purposes unless prohibited by law.
  • Miracle Flights reserves the right to modify raffle procedures if required for safety, compliance, or operational needs.
  • All decisions made by Miracle Flights regarding the raffle are final.
  • Winners are responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, including income taxes, and fees associated with winning a prize. Miracle Flights may issue an IRS Form W-2G and may require a Social Security Number before awarding the prize.
  • Any disputes arising from this raffle shall be governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, and participants waive the right to a class action lawsuit.
  • Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Miracle Flights, its board, employees, and aviation partners from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of the acceptance or use of the prize.

10. Charity Disclosure

Funds raised through raffle ticket participation support Miracle Flights’ charitable programs. Raffle ticket purchases are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions.

11. Taxation Reporting

  • All federal, state, and local taxes, including income taxes, associated with the acceptance and use of any prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.  Miracle Flights may be required by law to report raffle prizes to the IRS.
  • As a condition of receiving any prize, winners must provide a valid Social Security Number and execute IRS Form W-9. Failure to provide this information within the required timeframe will result in forfeiture of the prize.

Child Ambassador: Luna

Now nine years old, Luna has traveled extensively out of state in pursuit of specialized treatment, with the support of Miracle Flights. Chosen as the 2026 Child Ambassador for her extraordinary strength, resilience, and indomitable spirit, Luna continues to inspire all who meet her. Her story powerfully amplifies the mission of Miracle Flights, spreading hope and awareness through every mile.

Individual Navigator Honoree: Curtis Edenfield

In this episode of The Miracle Flight Deck, we sit down with Curtis Edenfield, CEO and Partner at Thrive Aviation. Under Curtis’s leadership, Thrive Aviation has been a dedicated supporter of Miracle Flights and our mission to provide children with access to life-saving, long-distance medical care.
