Before Miracle Flights, Valerie faced rare, severe medical conditions that made eating painful and left her reliant on a feeding tube, with few doctors able to help. Miracle Flights enabled her family to travel across the country to access the specialists she desperately needed.
After six life-changing surgeries, Valerie is thriving, attending the University of Texas at Austin, making friends, joining organizations, and enjoying life without constant pain. Thanks to Miracle Flights and generous supporters, her story is one of hope, courage, and possibility.
Luna of Las Vegas was diagnosed with an optic glioma in 2017 and regularly travels to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City for specialized care. A student at Roger’s Elementary, she learns in Braille alongside her peers.
Now facing her third brain tumor, Luna continues treatment with hope for a cure. Beyond her medical journey, she shines, taking piano lessons, joining her school choir, auditioning for the dance team, and inspiring others with her determination and optimism.
