Logan was diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia, a condition characterized by the improper formation of the hip joint, which can lead to pain, limited mobility, and difficulty walking. According to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) occurs when the ball and socket joint of the hip does not properly form in babies and young children, often requiring early intervention to prevent lifelong complications.
Before Miracle Flights became part of their journey, Logan’s mother was overwhelmed by the prospect of traveling far from home to receive the specialized care he needed. As the first in their family to face out-of-state treatment, the uncertainty was daunting.
