Meet Logan

Miracle Story

For years, 15-year-old Logan from Wyoming endured relentless pain caused by bilateral hip dysplasia, a condition that made walking, moving freely, and enjoying the simple pleasures of teenage life a constant challenge. Despite the discomfort, Logan’s spirit never wavered.
“She has been incredibly brave through four surgeries,” her mother shares. “She never gave up.”
Bilateral hip dysplasia occurs when the hip sockets do not fully cover the ball portion of the upper thighbone, causing instability, pain, and limited mobility. According to The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), untreated hip dysplasia can lead to chronic pain and arthritis, and complex cases often require specialized surgical intervention.
The specialized care Logan required was hundreds of miles from home, and only a few hospitals had the expertise to treat her complex condition
That’s when Miracle Flights stepped in.
“Her surgery was so unique it required travel,” her mother explains. “Miracle Flights lifted a huge burden from our shoulders. They allowed us to focus on Logan’s recovery instead of the overwhelming cost of getting there.”
Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, Logan traveled to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Ohio, a crucial step in her healing journey.
“She’s still recovering,” her mother says, “but now she can finally imagine a future where she’s active again. That hope means everything.”
With each step forward, Logan’s dreams are returning. She’s excited to return to high school as a proud sophomore. She’s back to baking her favorite brownies and cookies. She’s sharing her amazing nail art skills with friends. And most importantly, she’s beginning to move through life without pain.
“We’re just so grateful,” her mother says. “Without Miracle Flights, we wouldn’t have been able to give her the care she truly needed. Now, we can finally breathe.”
