In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Miracle Flights is bringing back the highly anticipated SOARée fundraiser, set to take place on Friday, March 28th, at the stunning and state-of-the-art Thrive Aviation Private Jet Hangar. This year’s event promises to be a memorable evening, honoring the incredible contributions of former Las Vegas Mayor Jan Jones Blackhurst and the inspiring story of local Miracle Flights recipient Asher.
The SOARée fundraiser not only supports Miracle Flights’ mission of providing life-changing flights for children in need of medical care but also highlights the resilience of families like Asher’s. Asher’s mother, Becky, shared a heartfelt message, saying:
“We are incredibly grateful to Miracle Flights for giving Asher a better quality of life and helping him reach a point where his condition is no longer life-threatening. Words can never fully express our gratitude for this honor and privilege as we celebrate Asher as Miracle Flights’ Child Ambassador of the Year.”
Asher’s journey began at 18 months old, when he received his first Miracle Flight to Mass Eye and Ear in Boston, Massachusetts, to treat his Grade 4 Subglottic Stenosis. This rare condition caused a complete closure of his airway, requiring him to rely on a tracheostomy. Thanks to Miracle Flights, Asher received the critical medical care he needed, giving him a second chance at life.
